Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) for Bulgaria leader Korneliya Ninova said in Parliament on Friday that her party, together with Vazrazhdane and There Is Such a People (TISP), has submitted a draft decision which obligates the Council of Ministers to conclude negotiations with the European Commission (EC) on changes to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) by October 15.

The parties also propose that by October 20 the government prepares and submits to the National Assembly a report on the actions taken and the results achieved in the implementation of this decision - to inform what it has achieved in the negotiations, and to immediately request from the EC a one-month extension for the submission of the Territorial Just Transition Plans (TJTPs). The draft decision provides for the signing of a national fair transition agreement with the nationally representative trade unions by October 20 and the submission of the TJTPs to the EC by October 30.

Ninova stressed tension on Bulgarian roads is rising in relation to Friday's protests of energy workers and miners regarding the TJTPs. "Tension is rising, at the same time Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov adamantly has said that the Plan (NRRP) will be sent as it is. No one is negotiating with striking miners, who are right to hold a just protest to protect their jobs, families and children," she said.
