The Bulgarian Farmers Union (BFU) signed a memorandum of partnership with the Bulgarian Association of Agricultural Land Owners (BAALO). BFU President Georgi Stoyanov and BAALO President Staiko Staikov laid their signatures to the document, BFU reported.
According to Stoyanov, the memorandum seals a long-lasting partnership between the two organizations, which share similar views on the development of agriculture and face similar challenges. He said: "Our organization has established itself as a unifying force in the sector and a promoter of the principle of checks and balances."
Stoyanov voiced his regret that would-be consultants try to take undue advantage of farmers. He said BFU provides guidance packages only to its members, and they are designed in the members' best interests. BFU experts use a personalized approach, which they believe is the only key to success.
BFU recently expanded its network of offices to also cover Pazardzhik, Haskovo, Kardzhali and Borino, and more offices are to be opened in Pernik, Shumen and Plovdiv in the coming days. The Union is working actively in Northern Bulgaria as well.
