In an interview in Riga on Saturday, European Commission (EC) Executive Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis told Nova TV that a report that will state whether Bulgaria's economic indicators allow the country to join the eurozone will be ready in the spring of 2024. Dombrovskis pointed to high inflation as the problem at hand, which led to January 2024 getting dropped as an option.
