1893: Prince Ferdinand I weds Princess Marie Louise of Bourbon-Parma.

1992: Bulgarian-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is established.

1999: 38th National Assembly adopts Military Doctrine.

2001: Simeon II National Movement is established in Sofia.

2002: Center for Holocaust Humanity Education in Cincinnati, Ohio, confers awards on Bulgaria and Denmark for rescuing their Jews during World War II.

2005: Sergei Stanishev's cabinet approves proposal for construction of nuclear power plant on Belene site.
