site.btaBurgas to Host Photo Exhibition on Bulgaria’s Contribution to Global Scientific Exploration

The photo exhibition "Bulgaria's Contribution to the Exploration of Global Science", featuring images by researcher Oleg Vasilev from the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute, will be presented in the open space in front of the NHK Cultural Center in Burgas, according to the organizers from the Municipality of Burgas and the Center for Creative Learning.
The exhibition by Oleg Vasilev will be on display from March 24 to April 20, with an official opening scheduled for March 25. The event is organized in partnership with the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute and polar researcher Prof. Christo Pimpirev.
The exhibition was created based on an idea by journalist Blagoy Tsitselkov, who was part of the first voyage of the Bulgarian naval research vessel Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii (RSV 421). It includes 24 canvases that showcase the work of Bulgarian polar researchers. The images by Oleg Vasilev transport the audience to places where science explores, discovers, and pushes boundaries—in the depths of the oceans and the icy deserts of Antarctica.
The event is part of the program leading up to this year’s edition of the First LEGO League robotics festival. As previously reported by the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA), the third edition of the competition in Bulgaria will take place on April 12 and 13 at the Congress Center under the motto "Dive".
