site.bta Sofia Soloists with Maestro Dobroykov and Pianist Plamena Mangova to Give Concert in Ruse


The Sofia Soloists Chamber Orchestra is giving a concert in Ruse on Friday evening under the baton of Konstantin Dobroykov. Pianist Plamena Mangova is the soloist, said the festival's Director, Iva Chavdarova.
The concert is part of the 64th edition of the March Music Days International Festival. It is on until March 30.
The orchestra will play Arvo Part's Fratres, Alfred Schnittke's Concerto for Piano and String Orchestra, Plamen Djouroff's Concerto grosso No.2, and Bela Bartok's Divertimento for string orchestra.
March Music Days is one of the oldest and most prestigious festivals in Bulgaria, with an up-to-date programming strategy. Founded in 1961, the festival turns Ruse every year into a meeting place for elite musicians from Europe and the world.
