Most of the museums in Sofia will be open on the days between Christmas and New Year, a BTA check shows.
The National Museum of History will be closed only on December 24 and 25, as well as on January 1. The National Museum of Natural History is open every day except December 25 and January 1.
"In connection with the Christmas and New Year holidays, the exposition of the National Museum of Military History will be closed from December 23 to 26 and from December 30 to January 1. The exposition will be open on December 27, 28 and 29. In the New Year we will be expecting you from January 2 with our usual opening hours," the museum says.
The National Museum of Anthropology will be closed to the public from December 21 until January 5, 2025.
"In connection with the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, all sites of the Regional History Museum - Sofia will be closed on December 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, 2024 and January 1, 2025," the museum said.
The National Archaeological Museum will be closed on December 24, 25, 31, 2024 and January 1, 2025.
The Muzeiko team will be resting on December 24, 25, 31 December and January 1. On the other days they have prepared activities for the visiting children.
The National Gallery and its adjacent branches will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
"During the Christmas and New Year holidays the Sofia City Art Gallery and its branches will work on December 27, 28, and 29. The galleries will be closed on December 24, 25, 26, 30, 31 and on January 1 and 2, 2025.
The halls of the Union of Bulgarian Artists will be open on December 27, 28 and on January 2, 3 and 4, 2025.
