Italian Tenor Al Bano will perform in Sofia on May 10, 2025, the organizers from BGTSC said here on Monday. The show will take place at Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture and will feature popular songs such as Sharazan, Felicità, Nostalgia canaglia, Nel sole, Liberta, and Ci sarà.

Al Bano was born in Italy on May 20, 1943. He gained fame in 1967 with his first major hit, the song Nel sole. Over the years, besides his successful duet with Romina Power, he has worked with renowned artists like Montserrat Caballé, Paco de Lucía, Plácido Domingo, and José Carreras.

He has received awards from various festivals and music forums, earned honorary distinctions, and serves as a UN ambassador against illicit drugs. Additionally, he is a screenwriter, director, producer, and actor. His life and career are chronicled in his autobiographies This is My Life and With Music in My Heart.
