An exhibition, “With the Colours of Bulgaria”, by Anatoliy Stankulov, will be presented at the Sofia Press Gallery in partnership with the Union of Bulgarian Artists. It will open on December 9 at the Sofia Press Gallery and will be through until January 10, the organizers said.

"Anatoliy Stankulov's landscapes are not painted from life. They have been re-created, recomposed and coloured in the artist's studio. And yet they look really familiar because the author has discovered and preserved the spirit of nature. They lack human figures, but human feelings pour from every corner of a house, from every fold of the hills," the team says.

Anatoliy Stankulov was born in 1956 in Ruse. In 1982 he graduated in architecture in Sofia. From 1983 to 1990 he worked as an artist in a number of Bulgarian newspapers and magazines. From 1990 to 1994 he was publisher and editor-in-chief of a humorous-satirical magazine. He was director of an advertising agency and art director of a foundation. Since 2011, he has served as an artist of the Duma newspaper. He has illustrated over 100 books for various Bulgarian publishers. He has participated in over 500 exhibitions of painting and cartooning in Bulgaria and abroad. He is the author of dozens of solo exhibitions around the world. He lives and works in Sofia.
