The second Edition of the Jazz in the Park Festival in Knezha opened on Thursday and will take place until August 30.

The festival will combine performances by four jazz formations, creative workshops for children and youth, an art bazaar of traditional crafts and arts, a jam session and an exhibition of local artists, said the organizers. "The idea of ​​creating a jazz festival in Knezha was born after we held nine editions of an amateur theatre festival and at every edition there were accompanying jazz concerts", said Festival Director Iskra Tsankova.

The first day of the festival will feature vocalist Bruce Johnson from the USA, along with the Christian Zhelev Quartet. The second concert of the day will be by Vasil Petrov and the Vratsa Philharmonic.

On the second day, the jazz formation Hot club the Plovdiv will perform the first concert. After them, a Latin fiesta will begin with the Cuban music of Septeto Nabori, who are visiting Knezha as part of their European tour in 2024.

All festival concerts  will take place on an open stage with free entry.

The festival is being held with the support of Knezha Municipality.
