site.btaFestival to Bring Together Chamber Music Lovers in Arbanassi's Medieval Churches
The 14th Arbanassi Summer Music Festival will bring together chamber music lovers in the medieval church museums of Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel and St. George in the Arbanassi architectural reserve between July 7 and 12, the Veliko Tarnovo Regional Historical Museum said. The Festival will feature performances by an international group of musicians from Belgium, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, France, and Bulgaria.
The festival will kick off at the church museum of St. George at 7:30 p.m. on July 7 with a classical programme dedicated to Beethoven. The church museum of Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel will host the next two concerts. Works by Brahms and Dvorak will be performed on July 10, and by Camille Saint-Saens, Maurice Ravel, Vytautas Barkauskas, and Tchaikovsky on July 12.
Arbanassi Summer Music has been held since 2010 on the initiative of musicians of the Royal Flemish Philharmonic Dmitri Medstag and his wife, Veliko Tarnovo-born Yulita Fuseva. The event is hosted and organized by the Regional Historical Museum with the support of Veliko Tarnovo Municipality. The Festival is part of the city’s calendar of cultural events and is a holder of the prestigious Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe label.
