This year's Toplofest themed "High in the Air" will be held on July 13 and 14 at the Toplocentrala Centre for Contemporary Arts, the organizers said here on Tuesday.

The programme will start with an aerial workshop for children titled To Fly! that will present the fun part of the experience and valuable information about kite-flying. A live demonstration and a large screen will feature some of the world's best kite pilots and at the finale, attendees can try kite-flying. The workshop will be held with the assistance of Martin Karnolsky, a sport kite pilot.

On July 14, Nina and Yuri Georgiev will continue the flying experiments with a workshop, where they will teach children to construct and fly kites of their own individual design.

Via Pontika Kite fest is visiting Sofia for the first time at Toplofest and their pilots will fill the spaces around Toplocentrala with impressive colorful kites of all types and sizes.

On July 13 and 14, young visitors will be able to take part in Fairytale School, an interactive performance with Nadezhda Todorova that develops imagination and creativity in dealing with different situations and helps children to tell the things that deeply excite them. 

A real fairy tale in the air will be created by Nov Cirk with Sway Flowers, the acrobatic number will be shown for the first time in Bulgaria. The artists will perform one of on the top of 5-metre-high flowers. 

The festival will offer a film programme, which includes The Future of Magic in Bulgaria by Yavor Chavdarov, 600 Miles Under Rafiki's Sails, Tsvetanka by Youlian Tabakov, animated film for children and others.

In the late hours of the day the troupe Agnon Collective will reveal the evocative power of fire with flaming hoops flying in the air. A special guest in the festival programme is French circus artist Jabber (Circo Nagual). He will have a show on July 13, and the next day he will hold a 4-hour workshop for all those who want to learn some secrets of circus art.

In the evenings the audience will enjoy performances by Hayes & Y, No More Many More, Tickle The Sage and The Lefties.
