site.btaTraditional Bulgarian Yoghurt Festival Takes Place in Studen Izvor
The Bulgarian Yoghurt Festival took place once again in the village of Studen Izvor, Western Bulgaria. Bulgarian scientist and discoverer of the bacteria Lactobacillus bulgaricus Dr. Stamen Grigorov was born in the village.
Local farmers and from across the country demonstrated how to prepare various dairy foods.
Visitors also got to see an exhibition of students' works from the International Yoghurt Tales Competition, organized by the Bulgarian school "Dr. Stamen Grigorov" in Geneva on the occasion of the school's 40th anniversary.
The event offered guests a variety of natural products. Stands abounded with different types of yoghurt, cheese, ayran, cheese, honey, baked goods, among others. Themed games were also held.
