A delegation of Dalai Lama monks will arrive in Burgas on July 6, said the organizers of the event on Friday.

The delegation from the Himalayan Cultural Foundation will include its director Lobsang Phuntsok, three monks close to the Dalai Lama, as well as 10 authentic dancers who combine music and millennial tradition in their performances, the organizers said.

For three days, until July 8, the monks will create a mandala, which will then be ritually destroyed, symbolising the transience of everything in the universe. After the demolition, the coloured sand from the mandala will be distributed to the public in small packets.

The Tibetan and Himalayan dancers will present authentic dances revealing the rich cultural heritage of the region. Visitors will be able to participate in traditional divination sessions led by a monk with translation provided. There will also be a small bazaar with handmade aromatic sticks and organic Tibetan perfumes and bowls.

On July 8, the monks will head to the sea for a final prayer on the Burgas seashore, which will bring the event to a close.

The event is dedicated to Eastern culture, philosophy and a healthy lifestyle and is organized by the Kalpataru Foundation and Burgas Municipality.
