Thousands of Plovdiv residents and guests of the city visited this year's edition of the FrancoFolies Music Festival featuring world-famous Israeli singer Ishtar. Her performance was a highlight of the programme and included songs Last Kiss, Habibi (Sawah) and Horchat Hai Caliptus.

"It's a real pleasure for me. Thanks for making me feel like I've been here forever, like I'm at home," said the Israeli singer.

Before Ishtar, Ivo Dimchev and the French group Nouvel Vag took to the stage of and warmed up the audience. The other performers in the first night of the festival were French DJ, singer and Willy William and Austrian musician, composer, producer and DJ Parov Stelar.

FrancoFolies continued on Saturday night, with Alexis Carlier, Deluxe, Barbara Pravi, Nej and UK dance group Rudimental.

The FrancoFolies Music Festival (Les Francofolies), which is the largest international festival of contemporary Francophone music, has been held since 1985 in the city of La Rochelle, France, but has also been moved to various locations around the world. In 2023, the first guest appearance of the festival took place in Plovdiv.
