site.bta40 Years Research Vessel Akademik Exhibition to Open on June 4

An exhibition on the occasion of the 40 year anniversary of the BAS Research vessel Akademik will take place at the central building of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) on June 4.

The exhibition will feature 25 posters telling the history, activity and achievements of one of the most significant scientific infrastructures of the BAS. The rich illustrative photo and video material will present the daily life of scientists and specialists conducting research on board the ship. 

The most significant scientific and applied achievements obtained with the help of RV Akademik will be on display, as well as its use for activities serving the State and the blue economy, and thus showcase the importance of the research vessel for the country and marine science. 

The exhibition is dedicated to the 155th anniversary of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
