Teams from the Vocational School of Computer Programming and Innovation and the “A.G. Kodzhakafaliyata" primary school in Burgas for the first time represented Bulgaria at the 26th International Robot Olympiad 2024/2025, the educational institutions in the seaside city announced on Tuesday. Bulgaria sent six teams to the forum.
At the competition, which was held in Busan, South Korea, Burgas students took third place and won two special prizes in competition with more than 3,000 competitors aged between 10 and 18, divided into 1,717 teams from 23 countries around the world.
The International Robot Olympiad World Competition is a prestigious robotics competition for young people. This year, representatives from 30 countries have come to Busan in South Korea to take part in a total of 42 events spread over five days. The competition is highly regarded as a global festival that improves communication and collaboration skills in the field of robotics, allowing young people to develop into future professionals in the industry, the Burgas high school added.
