site.btaConference on Holocaust to Be Held in Goethe Institute

A conference on Holocaust heritage and the metamorphosis of memory will be held at Goethe Institute on November 8, the organizers said Tuesday. The event will include two discussions: on today's significance of the history of the Holocaust and on the Holocaust and school experience.

The first discussion will be moderated by Toni Nikolov and Associate Professor Albena Taneva. To participate are Maxim Delchev, Prof Stiliyan Yotov, journalist Georgi Angelov, Ivanka Gezenko from the Archives State Agency, Associate Professor Kiril Kartalov, Yavor Koynakov from the State Cultural Institute with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Petar Tornev.

Within the second discussion, experts from the Ministry of Education and Youth, principals, and teachers will talk with Birgitta Behr, author of "Susi, die Enkelin von Haus Nummer 4 und die Zeit der versteckten Judensterne". The book itself will be presented at the end of the conference.
