Works by eleven artists present the stories of refugees and the horror of war. The non-commercial online exhibition is titled “Without Home and Country, a Wanderer in the World”. It can be viewed on the Daniela Stoykova Gallery website until October 31, the gallery said.

The organizers of the exhibition note that the participants are Ukrainian artists (temporarily residing in Bulgaria) and Bulgarian artists from abroad.

"For the artist, the man of art, war is the global evil. Today there are military conflicts in Ukraine, Nagorno-Karabakh, the Middle East - Syria, Israel, Palestine. Thousands of people are suffering, left without a home or country, wandering the world. There is nothing more terrible than losing one's homeland, one's native land, friends and relatives. It is only understood by the endless strings of migrants who have set off in their wanderings towards the hope of a better and peaceful life, towards the dreamed promised land,” says artist Daniela Stoykova, the organizer of the exhibition.

She adds that the refugees never forget their past, native land, history, homeland, and the aim of the current exhibition is to reinforce that memory.

The online event is part of the Interactive Platform for Amateur Art, which supports domestic and foreign amateur artists through online exhibitions on a voluntary and free basis. The exhibition is realized with the support of the National Culture Fund.
