The newly elected President of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) and Agence France-Presse CEO Fabrice Fries Friday received a medal and a postage stamp commemorating the 125th anniversary of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA). He was presented those by BTA Director General Kiril Valchev in the AFP headquarters in Paris before the start of EANA's autumn session dedicated on Climate Reporting.
He also received copies of two English-language editions of BTA's LIK magazine for art and culture. Valchev also presented copies of LIK to Claudia Nicolae, Director General of Romania's Agerpres.
Fries was elected EANA President on Thursday, and Nicolae was elected on the Managing Board.
