Bulgarian crafts and traditions will be presented at a festival in Nigeria's capital Abuja in September, the Bulgarian Embassy in the African country said on its Facebook page.

The post of the Bulgarian diplomatic mission states that the Ambassador of Bulgaria in Abuja, Yanko Yordanov, was a "special guest" at the opening of the new building of the Nigerian Council for Arts and Culture.

Part of a special exhibition hall in the Council's building will be dedicated to Bulgarian crafts and traditions, which will be showcased at the annual Abuja Festival of Cultures and Crafts in September 2023, the Embassy said.

In March 2023, the French Cultural Institute in Nigeria hosted the opening of an exhibition of Bulgarian monuments under UNESCO protection and a screening of the Bulgarian documentary "The Path of Light".
