site.btaGood Conditions for Skiing, Mountain Hiking on Saturday

The conditions for winter sports and hiking in the mountains are good, the Mountain Rescue Service told BTA on Saturday. In the mountains it is mostly sunny, calm, with light wind on the ridges. The facilities in the winter resorts are working. 

Mountain rescuers have helped two people on Friday, the service also said. 

In the first case, the intervention of the mountain rescuers was necessary because of an injured skier - a foreign citizen, in Pirin Mountain.

In the second case, mountain rescuers helped a man who had heart attack symptoms in the Vitosha Mountain. 

After the initial first aid was administered, both injured were handed over to medical teams.
