site.btaVola Open Air to Gather Fans of Innovative Art in Vratsa Balkan

The next edition of the Vola Open Air music festival will gather for three days the admirers of the innovative non-commercial art at the foot of Mount Okolchitsa in the Vratsa Balkan.

This is the ninth edition of the festival, which started in 2008 and is held with the support of the National Culture Fund, the Public Donor Fund for Vratsa, the Municipality of Vratsa, etc., the main organizer Tsvetoslav Ionov – Tseko told BTA. The idea is to provide a stage for the performance of young Bulgarian and foreign artists, to promote tourism in the region and to introduce young people to the nature-friendly way of life.

The official opening will be on Friday evening at 8 pm. During the three days, guests will be able to hear and see the performances of DJ Q, Dj Marky, LEFTO EARLY BIRD, STAMINA MC, Leena, Yana & Kamen, Pistamashina and many other local and international musicians in the genres of soul, funk drum'n'bass, hip-hop, etc. The organizers have prepared three stages - a main stage, a stage under the monument and an art stage.

There will be a hammock garden, graffiti workshop, a bazaar for handmade goods, yoga, massages, circus art, films, said the organizers, who expect at least 800 people to visit the festival.

There will also be public transport provided for the event, which will depart from the Vratsa railway station. The exact times are published on the event's Facebook page.
