Continue the Change–Democratic Bulgaria are already predetermining the outcome of the presidential elections, said Boyko Borissov in Kyustendil on Saturday during a regional academy of GERB youth organization, which focuses on the development of Southwestern Bulgaria.

Borissov speculated that a left-wing populist candidate will win the upcoming presidential elections. According to him, it makes no sense to want to bring down a legitimately elected, functioning government only to replace it with another, something that would be difficult, given current public opinion polls.

He added that it is not politically responsible behavior for a major party to submit a vote of no confidence just to make noise.

According to Borissov, there is no justification for a vote of no confidence when no proposals for changes in the government’s composition have been made.

Continue the Change–Democratic Bulgaria submitted a motion of no confidence against the government on Friday.

The motion was co-signed by MECh and MPs from the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms.
