Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD, the concessionaire of the airports in the Black Sea cities of Varna and Burgas, has signed new long-term contracts for retail outlets in the public areas of the two airports, the company said on Friday.

Lagardere Travel Retail, a company that specializes in retail in transport and tourist locations such as airports and railway stations, will be the main concessionaire of the retail outlets. In addition, the company together with Ginger Cafe were selected as concessionaires of various food and beverage outlets at the airports. The signed contracts are for a duration of seven years.

"It is a privilege for us to be partners with Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD in the transformation of the retail and food outlets at Burgas Airport and Varna Airport. Our goal is to create together with them lively spaces that welcome passengers at both airports and reveal the charm of Bulgaria," said Lagardere Travel Retail CEO in Bulgaria Mladen Yordanov.

It is expected that renovation activities in the new retail outlets will begin in 2025, with the first renovated ships to open before the start of the summer season.
