site.btaForeign Direct Investment in Bulgaria at EUR 338 Mln in January 2025

The net flow of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Bulgaria in January 2025, reported based on the directional principle, amounted to EUR 338 million, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said Friday reporting preliminary data. 

This represents 0.3% of the projected gross domestic product (GDP) and is EUR 50.8 million (17.7%) higher compared to January 2024, when EUR 287.3 million (0.3% of GDP) in FDI was recorded.

Foreign direct investments made abroad in January 2025 increased by EUR 30.5 million, compared to an increase of EUR 34.4 million in January 2024, the central bank said.
