Traffic at Bulgarian border checkpoints is normal, the General Directorate Border Police said on Saturday morning.
Traffic is normal at all border checkpoints with Turkiye, except for the Malko Tarnovo crossing, where vehicles are passing through one lane due to reconstruction works.
Conditions are normal at checkpoints along the borders with North Macedonia and Serbia.
Due to increased interest in travelling on the Rudozem–Xanthi route to Greece, the Ministry of Interior informed citizens that construction works are underway on the Greek side of the border.
Only cars and vans up to 3.5 tonnes are allowed through the checkpoints near Makaza, Zlatograd, and Ivaylovgrad.
At the border with Romania, repair works on the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse resumed on January 8, 2025. Traffic is temporarily limited to one lane, regulated by employees of the contractor.
