site.btaPM Glavchev Commends Deepening Bulgaria-US Cooperation

Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev defined the signing of four grant agreements between Bulgarian companies and the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) as "another milestone" of deepening cooperation between Bulgaria and the USA, on Friday at the signing ceremony at the Council of Ministers.

The agreements are in three key areas for Bulgaria. "The grant agreement in the field of energy will allow us to transform it in the direction we want, namely diversification, security and independence", Glavchev said, adding that Bulgaria has been heading in this direction for a long time. The second area, in Glavchev's words, is the one of transport, and in particular the National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) and its modernization. The third is to increase cybersecurity in the state administration. "Our cooperation with USTDA is prominent and will be built upon. This is a certain signal that everything we sign together will happen", the Prime Minister said.
