After Thursday's seventh unsuccessful attempt of Parliament to elect its chairperson, Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov commented that three MPs of Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) were to blame, because had they voted for Silvi Kirilov of There Is Such a People, he would have gotten he necessary 121 votes to head the 51st National Assembly. The MPs in question are Daniel Lorer, Yavor Bozhankov, and Nadezhda Yordanova, Kostadinov specified.
Kostadinov advised the three MPs to directly join MRF - New Beginning, because it is obvious that they are connected with that group and have no connection to the group on whose ticket they got elected to Parliament and to the voters who sent them to the National Assembly.
He expressed the hope that reason will prevail on Friday when the MPs will try for the eight time to elect a Parliament chair.
Kostadinov also commented that a regular government cannot practically receive support in this National Assembly, and called on CC-DB as the second biggest parliamentary group to return the second cabinet-forming mandate upon receipt. "They are very strongly divided and are obviously falling apart before the eyes of the whole of Bulgaria," he added. Once the second mandate is returned, everything will be in the hands of President Rumen Radev and to whom he will hand the third mandate, Kostadinov told journalists.
Shortly after Thursday's parliamentary sitting, the Continue the Change party demanded the resignations of its MPs Daniel Lorer and Yavor Bozhankov.
