The government is the only institution that continues to work and do its job. This is what Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said at the beginning of the government meeting, quoted by the caretaker Cabinet's press service here on Wednesday. The Prime Minister was adamant that the caretaker Cabinet exists because there is still no regular cabinet. He noted that the political attacks on the activities of the Council of Ministers are the work of those who have not done their job. "Maybe someone wants us to stop working with continuous political attacks and there will be total chaos in the country. This suggests hybrid attacks," Dimitar Glavchev said. "The most natural thing people voted for in the elections is to form a regular government. I hope this will happen. Until then, we keep working," Dimitar Glavchev stressed.

The Prime Minister also announced that a meeting of the interior ministers of Bulgaria, Austria, Romania and Hungary, organized by the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the EU, will take place in Budapest on Friday. The meeting will discuss the migration situation in the region, the countries' contribution to Schengen security and possible next steps to lift controls at the internal land borders of Bulgaria and Romania. "This is yet another step to recognize the contribution Bulgaria has made to the protection of the EU's external borders," the Prime Minister said, pointing out that migration pressure has decreased by 70% compared to last year as a result of all the measures the country has taken.
