The Russophiles for Bulgaria coalition closed its election campaign in Pazardzhik with the placement of a commemorative plaque in memory of the liberators of the town from Turkish rule.

The panel depicts the faces of General Iosif Gurko and General Nikolai Brock, under whose command Russian troops liberated Pazardzhik on January 14, 1878. 

On the occasion of the unveiling of the memorial plaque, the initiators received an address from Russian Ambassador Eleonora Mitrofanova, who hailed their work to "preserve historical memory". 

Priests served a water blessing and a prayer for the health and prosperity of the Bulgarian people.

Later, supporters of the coalition met with Nikolai Malinov and the leadership of the Russophiles for the Revival of the Fatherland and the Russophiles for Bulgaria coalition".
