GERB-UDF top-of-the-list candidate in Pleven Plamen Tachev on Friday held meetings to discuss water scarcity in the region.

Tachev first met with Regional Governor Nikolay Abrashev and Pleven Water Supply and Sewerage Company Manager Pleven Kliment Todorov to discuss solutions to the problem.

"The first, but extremely important step is the construction of the Bivolare-Pleven water pipeline, which will raise the flow of water in Pleven", Tachev said. He added that GERB strongly supports the regional governor's efforts on the subject and will do everything possible to build the new water pipe as soon as possible.

Tachev also discussed the possibility of providing funds for the water transmission network of Pleven with Mayor Valentin Hristov, as the city does not have a water cycle. "The water transmission network is from the 1960s and water losses are over 70%", the party pointed out. "These will be my main priorities as GERB-UDF MP for Pleven," Tachev emphasised.
