site.btaKozloduy NPP's 6th Unit to Shut Down for Maintenance from Oct. 19 to Nov. 30

On October 19, 2024, the sixth unit of Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant will be shut down for planned annual maintenance, which is scheduled to last until the end of November. The shutdown has been coordinated with the Electricity System Operator EAD, the NPP said.

Planned repairs and necessary maintenance are to be carried out during the outage to ensure equipment availability and safe and reliable operation of the unit. All activities are carried out in accordance with the licensing obligations and the requirements of the technological regulations for safe operation. The Unit 6 reactor will be refueled with fresh nuclear fuel for the next 30th fuel campaign.

Kozloduy NPP Unit 5 operates according to the power generation schedule.
