site.btaWorks by Artists from Four Countries to Be Exhibited at Polish Institute in Sofia
Polish, Romanian, Latvian and Bulgarian students and lecturers who took part in an Erasmus programme themed "Veliko Tarnovo - Historical and Spiritual Capital of Bulgaria", will stage an exhibition at the Polish Institute in Sofia. The exhibition is titled Beyond Borders and will be on display from October 22 to 31, the organizers said.
The exhibition includes 35 paintings jointly created by students and lecturers inspired by the beauty and history of Veliko Tarnovo. The participants were invited to a plein-air painting by the Faculty of Fine Arts at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo.
The project’s curator is Assoc. Prof. Krasimira Drumeva. The leading lecturers are Assoc. Prof. Anastasia Venkova Tonkova, Assoc. Prof. Marineta Mlyachkova, Assoc. Prof. Stoyan Ilev Ilev and Veselin Simeonov. The organizers of the exhibition are the Polish Institute in Sofia and the Department of Graphic Design and Visual Communications of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
