site.btaPM Glavchev Attends First EU-Gulf Cooperation Council Summit

The first-ever summit between the European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has concluded, the Government Information Service said on its official Facebook page late on Wednesday. The event gave a clear political signal to deepen economic and political relations with the Gulf states. The meeting was also attended by Bulgaria's caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev.

"We have very good relations with Saudi Arabia, I noted with satisfaction during my talks in Brussels with Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Along with the development of bilateral ties, the importance of the relations between the EU and the Gulf Cooperation Council was also the focus of our talks," the caretaker Prime Minister wrote on his Facebook page. 

After the event, Glavchev held a conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. The two discussed the upcoming European Council meeting, the close relations between the two countries and current international issues.
