site.btaCaretaker PM to Convene Meeting on Measures for Safe Evacuation of Bulgarian Citizens from Lebanon
Acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev will convene Sunday a meeting at the Council of Ministers with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Secretariat of the Security Council and the services, the government information service said. The topic of the meeting will be the measures taken by the Bulgarian State for the safe evacuation of Bulgarian citizens from Lebanon.
On Saturday, it was reported that measures are being taken by the State to bring Bulgarian citizens home from Lebanon. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs specified that in connection with the escalation of the situation in the Middle East and in Lebanon in particular, the caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev and the caretaker Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov are in constant contact. On the instructions of the Prime Minister, a working group has been set up in the Foreign Ministry, which includes representatives of other institutions, whose main task is to coordinate and propose the most appropriate option for the evacuation of Bulgarian citizens and their family members from Lebanon, the Foreign Ministry said.

On Friday night, the Israeli army announced that it had killed several Hezbollah commanders in southern Lebanon, reported Agence France-Presse. The attack was carried out by fighter jets. The statement, posted on Telegram, said the attack killed Hezbollah rocket unit commander Mohammed Ali Ismail, his deputy "and other terrorists."
