The weather in the mountains will vary on Wednesday, tourists should check the forecast before undertaking treks, the Mountain Rescue Service of the Bulgarian Red Cross told BTA.

In some areas there will be wind and cloud cover, and precipitation is also expected in the later hours of the day, the MRS also said.

Cumulus and cumulus-rain clouds will develop over the mountains, and there will be brief showers and thunderstorms in many places, as well as possible hail, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology said. Before noon, it will be mostly sunny in the mountains in Western Bulgaria, with moderate north-northwesterly. Heighs at 1200 metres will be about 21C, 14C at 2,000 metres.
