Bulgaria's position in the report, which will be presented at the NATO summit, is nationally responsible and in line with national interests, caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev told journalists after the end of the National Assembly’s session on Wednesday. "There should be no cause for concern. The position does not go beyond what is set by the National Assembly," Glavchev added.

The report had to be classified because it concerns all EU Member states and that is the established procedure when a document concerns many countries, Glavchev said. He also pointed out that Bulgaria takes no commitment to send trainers to Ukraine.

“It is an absolute speculation, as some headlines were, that Bulgaria is being dragged into a war. Nothing of the sort is said in the report. Such a topic has never been discussed. There is no point in scaring people”, the Prime Minister added.

Asked what resources Bulgaria will use to assist Ukraine, Glavchev said it will use "the available resources".

On July 1, the Prime Minister said that he will send the report to the National Assembly's classified information registry and the Members of Parliament would be able to get acquainted with it.

The NATO summit will take place from July 9 to11 in Washington D.C. and the Prime Minister will be leading the Bulgarian delegation.
