Vazrazdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov congratulated Metropolitan Daniil of Vidin on becoming the Patriarch of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and Metropolitan of Sofia by an Election Council held in Sofia on Sunday.

"We have elected a new Patriarch - the former Metropolitan Daniil of Vidin. May God multiply his days and instruct his actions for the good of Bulgaria, the Bulgarian people and Orthodox Christians," Kostadinov wrote on Facebook.
