Speaking to reporters before the National Assembly's plenary sitting on Wednesday, Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) floor leader Nikolay Denkov said that CC-DB are unhappy that Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev will not be attending a hearing in Parliament, as made clear by the Presidents’ Council of Parliament.
According to the legislature's draft agenda published on its website Tuesday, Glavchev had to be heard on a motion from Atanas Atanassov and a group of fellow MPs of CC-DB. He was to be asked about recent dismissals and appointments at the State Agency for National Security (SANS), the State Commission on Information Security, the State Agency Technical Operations, and the State Intelligence Agency.
"Perhaps the reason is that some of the replacements are scandalous, to say the least, for example, in the SANS remained this deputy chair, who had core responsibility for the fact that there were no [voting] machines in the first round of the local elections," Denkov said.
