President Emmanuel Macron's decision to dissolve the French parliament and call new elections after the European elections is not a topic of discussion in the Renew Europe group in the European Parliament, the group's Vice Chair Iskra Mihaylova said from the rostrum of the plenary hall in the EP. 

Earlier, it became clear that Marine Le Pen's National Rally had defeated Macron's Renaissance party.

Manfred Weber, President of the European People's Party (EPP) group in the EP, announced this evening the victory of his political group in the elections for MEPs. At a news briefing in the EP in Brussels, he called for cooperation with the Socialists and Democrats and the Liberals.
