site.btaExacta Poll: 29% of Voters Will Vote Preferentially
A total of 29.1% of Bulgarian voters say they will vote preferentially in the parliamentary elections, and 23.8% - in the European elections, according to the findings of an Exacta poll published on Friday. Hard-core supporters of Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB), There is Such a People (TISP) and GERB are more likely to vote preferentially in both elections.
The current poll was conducted from May 30 to June 4, among 1,050 adult Bulgarian citizens in 71 settlements of the country in a face-to-face interview. The study was funded by Exacta Research Group as part of the agency's research program. The survey does not reflect the attitudes of voters abroad.
According to analysts, about 40% of Bulgarians (2,500,000 – 2,700,000 voters) will vote for the national parliament on June 9.
Some 3% fewer Bulgarians will vote than in the European elections. The expected turnout at the European elections will be slightly higher than at the previous European elections, which took place in May 2019.
Exacta has recorded a slight increase in the electoral weight of Vazrazhdane, the Movement for Right and Freedoms and There Is Such a People for the elections to the National Assembly.
Compared with the beginning of the campaign, as of June 4, there is a certain decline in the electoral weight of CC-DB, making it possible that at the very end of the campaign GERB's lead over CC-DB will increase further.
