The caretaker Cabinet allocated funds for the renovation of three churches in Bulgaria, as well as for the road to St George Zographou Monastery in Mount Athos, Greece, the Government Information Service said on Thursday.

Some BGN 2.7 million have been allocated for the repair, restoration and reconstruction of the Sts Cyril and Methodius church in the town of Svishtov. Another BGN 500,000 are provided for works at the Nativity of the Theotokos memorial church, and BGN 74,000 goes for the renovation of the Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos in the village of Gigintsi, Breznik Municipality.

Another BGN 500,000 are provided for repair works in the Nativity of Christ memorial church in the Shipka Monastery.

The caretaker Cabinet is allocating an additional BGN 3 million to start repair works on the road to the St George the Zographou Monastery in Mount Athos, Greece. The total amount needed for the repair of the road amounts to about BGN 10 million, and it is planned that the funds will be allocated in stages, the press release said.
