The caretaker Government adopted Wednesday a decree updating a list of defence-related products and a list of dual use technologies and products, the government press office said.

The lists of defence and dual use products, that are subject to import controls, need to be updated to ensure compliance with Bulgaria's international obligations. The practice in the EU Member States' national legislations is to publish the full lists of defence and dual use products that are controlled at national level, not just the amendments and additions made. The full lists are published in order to avoid incomplete writing of the controlled products and misinterpretation of the relevant texts, both by the business and the control authorities.

The list of products and technologies subjected to import control also reflects the adopted changes to the relevant lists of international export control regimes.
