site.btaHealth Minister Kondeva: National Children’s Hospital Expected to Be Ready by May 2028

The schedule presented by the caretaker Cabinet envisages that the National Children’s Hospital in Sofia will be ready by May 2028 , said caretaker Health Minister Galya Kondeva. She was speaking to journalists at the Council of Ministers after Wednesday's weekly Government meeting. “Together with all the institutions involved in this process, we will make the necessary efforts”, added Kondeva.

The caretaker Cabinet approved a schedule for the construction activities of the National Children’s Hospital in Sofia, said earlier in the day caretaker Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lyudmila Petkova. 

The processes being carried out under the adopted schedule will run in parallel to ensure faster construction of the hospital, Kondeva said.  “Once the consultancy stage is completed, we will start the procedure of the preparation and announcement of public procurements. This plan shortens the construction implementation period by nine months”, she said.
