Sofia Mayor Vassil Terziev spoke to the media on Tuesday, revealing a final report on public procurements legal review, identifying significant irregularities in 24 cases. The report flagged 23 as problematic and 21 as non-compliant.
Terziev highlighted problems in public procurements such as legal non-compliance, restrictive requirements, incomplete announcements, unlawful amendments of tender documentation, and information discrepancies. He ensured the termination of non-compliant procedures, replacing them with compliant ones. These procurements are vital for the functioning of the capital.
Terziev revealed the total value of the examined 24 public contracts was some BGN 204 million. Contracts included various projects, among which infrastructure, kindergartens, water and sewerage systems, and the selection of supervisory bodies, the Mayor further explained.
