site.btaMP of CC-DB Minchev Finds Surprising Caretaker PM's Proposal for Cabinet Changes Week after Its Formation
It is surprising that a week after the caretaker cabinet's formation, the Prime Minister makes proposals for changes in its composition, Nikola Minchev MP of Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) told reporters here on Tuesday. He was commenting on the Prime Minister's proposal made late on Monday that Stefan Dimitrov be dismissed as caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and the post be filled by MP of GERB and former foreign minister (2014-2017) Daniel Mitov. Minchev commented that Mitov is a strongly political proposal, given that he is GERB Deputy Chairman. Asked whether he believes GERB leader Boyko Borissov has demanded this change in the caretaker government, Minchev said the very fact that a GERB Deputy Chairman gets nominated for new foreign minister is a serious move.
