site.btaSteam Train to Arrive for Rose Festival in Kazanlak

A retro steam locomotive will arrive in Kazanlak for this year's Rose Festival, the local administration said on its website on Tuesday.

The retro train, which will be launched by Bulgarian State Railways for the holiday, will arrive at the Kazanlak station on May 31 and will depart on June 1. The date is specially tailored to provide an opportunity for guests arriving by steam train to attend the coronation ceremony of Queen Rose 2024, Kazanlak Municipality said. The train will be welcomed by the Wikeda rock group, who will give a concert for the residents and guests of the city.

The sale of tickets for the steam engine will begin at the end of April.

The 121st Rose Festival in Kazanlak will be on from May 17 to June 2.
