Ivan Hristov and Andrey Arnaudov, the founders of the Bulgaria Wants You career and life platform, opened the career forum for Bulgarians abroad titled "Career and Life - Why Bulgaria?", which took place on Saturday in Berlin. A video of foreigners who have chosen to live in Bulgaria was presented at the start of the event.

"We prepared this video to draw the parallel between people who live in Bulgaria and are foreigners and are from Western Europe and find Bulgaria a cool place to live and people who obviously have chosen not to live in Bulgaria and are Bulgarians. We believe that we live in the 21st century and there are many bridges and ways to be close to your homeland, to be useful wherever you are and wherever you live, but what Bulgaria Wants You gives is a choice. A while ago we were in Munich and we can say that after our event there, many Bulgarians came back to Bulgaria. The funny thing is that two Germans also came," said Andrei Arnaudov.

Ivan Hristov explained the two main goals of the Bulgaria Wants You platform. "The first one is direct and with it we would like to reach each one of you individually in case one of you has already decided to consider Bulgaria as a worthy alternative for your life and for your development. We have come to tell each one of you personally that we guarantee the following - Bulgaria can now indeed provide a decent life for each one of you. The second reason we are here is to talk to those who do not believe that Bulgaria is their main path," he said.

Saturday's career forum is free for visitors and took place in two parts - a career fair and a speaker panel. A total of 26 employer stands of companies were also displayed for Bulgarians to visit.

Speakers at the event included former Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev (2012 - 2017), actor Samuel Finzi, the artistic family of actress, screenwriter and director Yana Titova and actor

Aleksandar Aleksiev. entrepreneur Hristo Popov, PR specialist Maxim Behar, singer Lucy Diakovska, entrepreneur Hristo Popov.

The Ambassador of Bulgaria to Germany Grigor Porozhanov was also a guest of the event.

The co-organizers include Art Theater Berlin, Societas Bulgarica and the Bulgarian-German Student Association in Berlin.

The Bulgaria Wants You platform aims to attract Bulgarians from abroad, as well as to retain Bulgarians on the domestic labour market by offering job opportunities and information about life in different regions of the country.
