The head of the National Construction Control Directorate (NCCD), Architect Delyana Panayotova, has been removed from office by order of caretaker Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Violeta Koritarova. Appointed in Pavlova's place is Engineer Lilyana Petrova, the Public Works Ministry said in a press release Friday.

Petrova headed the NCCD from December 31, 2021 to August 2022.

Panayotova was appointed acting NCCD head in early August 2022 by caretaker minister of regional development and public works minister Ivan Shishkov.

Earlier this week, the caretaker Minister of Regional Development and Public Works dismissed the Chair of the Road Infrastructure Agency Board of Directors, Yasen Yordanov, after an internal audit found illegal actions.
